“Use your right foot” – Some Spurs fans weren’t happy with player’s performance

Erik Lamela was named in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up for Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to Fulham yesterday afternoon and it is fair to say that the winger had some of his more disappointing matches.

The Argentine has shown glimpses of his brilliance this season but certainly left his qualities at home when Spurs needed him most at Craven Cottage.

With Harry Kane and Heung-min Son both absent, supporters were looking to some of the other players to step up and be counted in the final third of the pitch to tighten our grip on a top four finish.

Some Spurs supporters were far from impressed with Lamela’s performance which eventually saw him hauled off in the 78th minute for Eric Dier while the score was still 1-1.

Lamela tried his fancy flicks but this wasn’t the game for it, in fact he didn’t even get his almost mandatory yellow card.

Hopefully he gets his act together for Thursday night’s trip to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi final second leg.
