Spaghetti-loving Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has been causing a storm on social media for his choice of eyewear.
The powerful Kenyan international was photographed at Muscle Beach during Tottenham’s tour of the USA and will play their first match in the early hours of Thursday morning UK time against Italian giants AS Roma.
Wanyama’s glasses have seen Spurs fans describe him as looking like either Robocop or Doc Brown from Back to the Future.
On a more serious note, it is great to see Wanyama fit again after his injury problems which limited him to just 18 Premier League starts last season, compared to 36 in his first season at the club.
With Mousa Dembele’s future at the club still in doubt and Harry Winks’ own injury issues, Wanyama could have a key part to play in the middle of the park for Spurs this season. Hopefully, he’s making headlines on the pitch, rather than his shocking fashion sense!
