BT Sport have put together a compilation of Jan Vertonghen’s sensational performance against Borussia Dortmund last night.
Despite being played out of position, having to fill the void at left wing back due to injuries to Ben Davies and Danny Rose, Vertonghen put in a truly inspired display to help guide his side to a convincing 3-0 victory.
The Belgian was allowed the freedom to roam down the left during the second half and made it count, providing an assist and also scoring himself. In fact, he went close earlier in the half with a marauding run in-field.
His performance certainly highlights the ability of members of Pochettino’s squad to have the ability to cover other positions when needed.
