(Video) Adam Lallana sent off for bizarre attack on Spurs midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur Under 23’s were in action against their Liverpool counterparts this evening.

Liverpool fielded a relatively strong side which includes Adam Lallana (more on him later), Danny Ings, Dominic Solanke and young Welsh international Ben Woodburn.

Tottenham took the lead after 54 minutes when striker Jack Roles finished off a break from Keanan Bennetts to score for a fourth successive match in a row.

However, the attention turned to Adam Lallana was challenged in the air by Spurs midfielder George Marsh and the England international reacted angrily by trying some sort of reverse chokehold on the youngster, which led to him being shown a straight red card and Liverpool were reduced to 10 men. Take a look at the video, below.

Frankly, Lallana should be embarrased by his conduct and the fact that him, Ings and co have been second best to a Spurs team who sit bottom of the PL2 table.

Liverpool were further reduced to nine men in the 87th minute when Johnston was shown a second yellow card for tripping Eyoma as he tried to break forward.

Despite all the red card drama, the important fact is that we won 1-0.
