Toby Alderweireld has now scored at both ends of the pitch after he fired Tottenham Hotspur level against Aston Villa.
The ball arrived at the Belgian’s feet and he showed brilliant composure before turning and powering an effort beyond the helpless Pepe Reina.
It was his first goal at the right end of the pitch since May 2017. Alderweireld’s goal has come at a crucial time with Villa having failed to double their lead with a number of chances.
Spurs have to do better to keep Jack Grealish under control, the Villa midfielder is causing all sorts of problems for the defence.
Alderweireld had earlier scored an own goal to gift Villa the lead.
