Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham Hotspur is certainly high on the agenda in the Ferdinand family.
Firstly, former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand claimed that he would leave Tottenham as soon as he possibly could if he was in Harry Kane’s shoes in order to try and win trophies (BT Sport).
Now, Rio’s brother, Anton has also suggested that Kane should look to depart North London and instead consider his own personal situation and want to show his medals to his children and grandchildren.
Kane has previously spoken of his desire to win trophies but is happy to remain at Tottenham as long as the club is showing ambition and moving in the right direction (ESPN).
Opinion
While Rio is well qualified to talk about winning trophies, Anton hardly has a trophy in his cabinet to look back upon his career.
Spurs are certainly headline in the right directon under Mauricio Pochettino and the focus this season has to be on winning silverware.
