Carlos Vinicius has addressed the Tottenham Hotspur fans for the very first time since completing his move to North London.

The Brazilian striker joined on a season long loan deal from Benfica which also includes an option to make the deal permanent (Benfica official).

Vinicius recorded a video message in Portuguese on Tottenham’s official Twitter channel in which he promised that the club will taste success and is looking forward to bringing silverware back to North London.

Jose Mourinho was left short of attacking options at the turn of the year when Harry Kane and Heung-min Son were injured in January and February respectively and decided against replacing Fernando Llorente who had left the club in September of last year following the expiration of his contract.

Spurs have not won a competitive trophy since they beat Chelsea in the League Cup final back in 2008 courtesy of an extra time header by Jonathan Woodgate.
