Video: Christian Eriksen scores direct from corner kick for Inter Milan against Napoli

Christian Eriksen’s corner kick taking ability during the latter stages of his time at Tottenham Hotspur were certainly a frustration of many of the North London faithful.

The Dane often failed to deliver the ball into the danger zone for his team-mates to attack and more often than not, the cross failed to beat the first defender.

Eriksen returned to action for Inter Milan this evening when he was named in Antonio Conte’s starting eleven for the Coppa Italia second leg clash against Napoli, in an attacking midfield role where he was asked to play behind Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, Eriksen pulled his side level after just three minutes when his corner evaded everyone in the penalty area, including Napoli keeper David Ospina who could only watch the ball go past him.

Ospina and Eriksen have previously squared off against each other when Ospina was playing for North London rivals Arsenal.
