New Tottenham Hotspur signing Davinson Sanchez has given fans a glimpse of his no-nonsense defending style whilst in action for Colombia.
The club-record signing from Ajax was on international duty against Brazil where he was up against right-back Dani Alves and showed some good pace mixed with brute power to completely muscle the former Barcelona player into touch.
I’m sure the likes of Graham Roberts are absolutely loving the sight of a young defender taking no prisoners. Sanchez showed no sympathy for Alves who was too busy trying to milk the challenge by laying on the floor and instead decided to try and take a throw-in.
Welcome to Tottenham, Davinson – that’s the sort of attitude we want to see.
