Video: Drone footage shows how the new Spurs stadium is preparing to host a Champions League fixture

Tottenham Hotspur will play their first European fixture under the lights of the new stadium this evening when they host Manchester City in the quarter final of the Champions League.

Spurs have only made it to the last eight of the prestigious European tournament on one previous occasion when Harry Redknapp’s side were humbled by Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid.

Ahead of the match, Mr AV took his drone high above N17 yesterday to provide a visual update on how the stadium is preparing for the cup tie. Man City players can be seen kicking a ball around near technical area.

The Spidercam has been installed for the fixture which appears at most Champions League matches (hard to see with YouTube compression), it can be seen near the centre circle. Panels were also being installled on the East stand.

Inside the stadium, the perimeter advertising boards have been removed, assume to be replaced with different boards for the Champions League. Outside, the broadcast compound is ready for the game.
