Former Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has revealed that Jose Mourinho asked people for their honest opinion on his behaviour following his departure at Old Trafford.
Mourinho was sacked by the former Premier League champions in December of last year after it was said that player and staff had become unsettled behind the scenes (BBC).
Fletcher believes that Mourinho’s interest in gaining feedback from those who have worked under him means that he had gone a little bit too far with his behaviour.
After eleven months out of the game following a spell of self-reflection, the ex-Scottish international has suggested that Tottenham will see a different side to Mourinho compared to the one which managed Manchester United.
The Portuguese was appointed at Tottenham’s new head coach earlier this week after parting company with Mauricio Pochettino.
