Video: Fabrizio Romano comments on the prospect of Luis Campos joining Spurs

Italian football expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are not currently in any form of advanced discussions with Luis Campos.

The 56-year-old’s exit at Lille as director of football was confirmed by the French club last month in a statement issued on their official website.

Campos, who has unearthed a number of top talents during his career – most notably in recent years with Monaco and Lille, which has seen his former employers make huge profits on the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva and Nicolas Pepe (talkSPORT).

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho is known for his close friendship with Campos with the pair having worked together at Real Madrid, with Sky Sports claiming in November 2019 that the transfer guru would be interested in a move to North London.

Romano has spoken highly of Campos’ abilities and revealed that there is interest from Spain and France in the Portuguese, but there is nothing likely to be on the horizon from Spurs.
