Video: Former Spur explains why Son doesn’t play as well when Kane is fit

Tottenham Hotspur were once again robbed of the services of Harry Kane when he suffered a significant ankle injury earlier this month in the 1-0 Champions League semi final first leg against Manchester City.

Kane suffered a similar injury in January and the goalscoring burden fell upon Heung-min Son with the South Korean certainly stepping up to the responsibility.

Son was in dazzling form on Wednesday night, scoring two goals to help the club reach the semi final of the European competition. In yesterday’s Premier League match against City he had two brilliant opportunities to score but was unable to stop Spurs losing 1-0.

Before the match, former Spurs striker Darren Bent along with ex-City defender Danny Mills were asked if Son plays better when Kane is not in the side. Bent’s explanation was certainly interesting.
