Video: Former striker claims he was hated by Spurs fans

Tottenham Hotspur were yesterday dealt a significant injury blow with the news that Heung-min Son has fractured his right arm.

Head coach Jose Mourinho admitted in the press conference ahead of the visit of RB Leipzig that he expects the South Korean to miss the rest of the season and even joked that he would be interested in bringing Peter Crouch back to North London as a target man (BBC).

Former striker Darren Bent was asked by his co-host Adrian Durham during yesterday’s Drive show on talkSPORT if he would come out of retirement to go back to his former club.

Bent was quoted by Durham as saying that the Spurs fans hated him when he joined the club, hated while he was playing and even more so when he left.

The 36-year-old who a self-confessed Arsenal fan (talkSPORT) was mocked by Harry Redknapp, his manager at Tottenham in 2009 when he missed a late header with the score level at 1-1 in which Redknapp claimed that his wife could have scored (Daily Mail).
