Tottenham Hotspur’s Under 18’s sparked a remarkable comeback to beat Newport County 6-2 in the FA Youth Cup at Hotspur Way yesterday.
Matt Taylor saw his side go 2-0 down to the Welshmen within the first 26 minutes after they scored with their first two shots of the game.
Dane Scarlett reminded everyone of why he is so highly regarded at the club after bagging five goals in the tie, including a perfect hat-trick.
The 16-year-old made his first-team debut when came on to replace Lucas Moura in the 82nd minute of the 4-0 win against Ludogorets in a Europa League tie in November.
With fellow academy player Alfie Devine grabbing the headlines after scoring on his debut against Marine on Sunday, Scarlett has shown once again that the Spurs academy is brimming with exciting talent.
