Huddersfield Town were the visitors to Tottenham Hotspur’s brand new stadium yesterday in what was only the third competitive fixture to be held there.
When Spurs officially opened their doors to their new 62,062 capacity seater arena against Crystal Palace, many Spurs fans were certainly overwhelmed by what they saw when they stepped foot inside.
Footage of a Spurs fan who crying at what he saw when he headed pitchside ahead of the Palace match was posted by the club’s official Twitter account and was subsequently deleted following abuse from supporters from other clubs.
A Huddersfield fan tried to mock the situation before they were handed a 4-0 defeat by Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Next season, he will be back in the Championship watching his side following their diabolical display in the top flight.
