Video: Ian Wright admits he was gutted for Troy Parrott after Wolves loss

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a significant blow in their quest to finish in the top four this season following yesterday’s defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 3-2 loss to Wolves comes on the back of the defeat suffered last weekend at Chelsea which has seen Jose Mourinho’s side fail to close the gap on his former employers.

With Harry Kane and Heung-min Son both sidelined due to respective hamstring and arm injuries, Spurs have struggled in front of goal.

When Wolves went ahead against Spurs in the 73rd minute of the game, Mourinho waited until the 90th minute to bring on 18-year-old striker Troy Parrott in place of Ben Davies.

Former Arsenal forward Ian Wright has questioned the Portuguese’s decision to bring him on with just injury time left to be played and instead beleives the Republic of Ireland international should be given around 20 minutes instead to see if he has the capability to link the play from the midfield and allow the North Londoners to try and play in a different way.
