Video: Jamie Redknapp on what Tottenham’s aim for this season needs to be

Jamie Redknapp has emphasised the importance of Tottenham Hotspur aiming to end their twelve year wait for a competitive piece of silverware.

While the former Spurs midfielder admits that a top four finish will be the aim, Jose Mourinho has been brought in to win a trophy.

Spurs last tasted success back in 2012 when Juande Ramos’ side beat Mourinho’s Chelsea 2-1 in the League Cup final at Wembley courtesy of an extra time header from Jonathan Woodgate.

Redknapp believes that with the infrastructure which Spurs now possess including a brand new state of the art stadium, they now need to be adding to their trophy cabinet.

In recent years, Spurs have come up short having lost the Champions League final and failing to catch Leicester City in the race or the Premier League table.
