Video: Jan Vertonghen and the Spurs bench react to Son penalty

Tottenham Hotspur endured a nervy night in North London after narrowly booking their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup at the expense of Southampton.

Many, including Jose Mourinho agreed that the sides were the better side on the night and can feel aggrieved to find themselves out of the competition (Eurosport).

Jan Vertonghen looked inconsolable having been substituted early in the second half with the Spurs head coach deciding to make a tactical change to his defence.

However, despite the Belgian looking to be deep in thought by the time he had taken his place on the bench. He certainly showed that his heart is filled with love for the club with his reaction to the decision to award Spurs a penalty in the 87th minute of the match.

Paulo Gazzaniga and Tanguy Ndombele also could not contain their emotions which led to Heung-min Son setting up a home tie against Norwich in the next round of the competition.
