Jose Mourinho has taken to Instagram to share video footage of himself and his Tottenham backroom staff celebrating after booking their place in the Carabao Cup final.
Mourinho’s team including Carlos Lalin, Ledley King, Giovanni Cerra, Nuno Santos and Joao Sacramento can all be seen sitting around a table with the Spurs head coach walking into the room to celebrate with his staff.
Spurs have not claimed silverware since they beat Chelsea in the 2008 League Cup final and managed to see off a brave Brentford side with a goal apiece from Moussa Sissoko and Heung-min Son.
The Championship side thought they had equalised just after the hour mark when Ivan Toney headed in but the goal was chalked off for a narrow offside call when the forward’s knee was ahead of the Spurs defence.
The Portuguese has previously won the tournament four times in his career – 2005, 2007 and 2015 with Chelsea, and 2017 with Manchester United.
