Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier are both surplus to requirements at Tottenham Hotspur according to BBC Sport news correspondent David Ornstein.

Mauricio Pochettino has already confirmed that he will hold talks with chairman Daniel Levy after the Champions League final to see if the pair can agree on a plan for the future (Telegraph).

The Spurs boss has been very vocal about wanting to take the club to the ‘next level’ which would likely involve some new additions to the squad along with the inevitable departures (ESPN).

Ornstein has claimed that the midfield pair could potentially leave the club this summer.

Wanyama moved to White Hart Lane from Southampton in August 2016 for a fee of around £11million but after an impressive first season, he has struggled with knee issues (Guardian).

Dier has been plagued with injury and illness this season but did score in the final Premier League game of the campaign at home to Everton on Sunday.
