Video: Journalist warns Spurs will be in a genuine crisis if they fail to beat Brighton

The Sun football writer Martin Lipton has warned that Tottenham Hotspur will be in a genuine crisis if they lose to Brighton tomorrow.

Spurs make the trip to the Amex Stadium for the lunchtime kick-off in the Premier League on the back of a night to forget in the Champions League.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were put to the sword by an impressive Bayern Munich side who were lethal in front of goal to come away from North London with a 7-2 victory to condemn Spurs to their worst-ever European defeat on their own turf.

Lipton highlighted the fact that Spurs had plenty of chances in the opening 35 minutes against the Bundesliga giants, with Heung-min Son notably unable to find the back of the net more than once with three good opportunities.

He highlighted how Spurs came back stronger from the 5-1 defeat to Newcastle on the final day of the 2015/16 season but insists the rot has to stop against Brighton.
