The loss was a hammer blow for Tottenham’s hopes of mounting a title challenge and now find themselves nine points behind league leaders Liverpool.
What is more concerning for Spurs fans is the late knock which Harry Kane picked up. Deep into injury time as Spurs battled for an equaliser Kane came under a heavy challenge from a United defender that left him in a crumpled heap.
He received medical treatment on the field after the final whistle and was seen limping off the field of play.
With Heung-min Son now on international duty, it is a worrying sign for our attacking options.
