Video: Lead singer of rock band wears surprising Spurs name on his shirt at concert

American rock band MGMT took to the stage at the Just Like Heaven festival at the weekend with one surprising wardrobe choice.

Their lead singer decided to wear the current Tottenham Hotspur home shirt as part of their set in front of the crowd at Long Beach, California with Kieran Trippier’s name and squad number printed on the reverse of the shirt.

Trippier, with the greatest respect, is hardly a household name in world football especially given his inconsistent form during the current campaign.

The right-back has even admitted that he has found his form frustrating this season (BBC) and has also been linked with a possible move to Serie A side Napoli (talkSPORT).

The footage appeared on MGMT’s Instagram story.
