(Video) Major dismantling project completed successfully at new Spurs stadium

Those among us who regularly watch the live webcams surrounding the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium will have noticed earlier today that one of the giant cranes was dismantled.

The north west tower crane which sits outside of the 62,062 seater stadium was taken apart piece by piece throughout the course of the day.

Hopefully, this means that work can now continue on the veil on the exterior of the west stand. Known as the ‘veil’, the wrap is made up of 4,801 perforated metal panels, fitted to modular frames which are affixed to the rear of the stands.

The veil will enclose the building, wrapping around the whole stadium to create a dynamic, flowing exterior.

Manufactured in Germany, certain panels will illuminate, creating a stunning visual effect that will bring the stadium to life.
