Video: Marcus Edwards is on target once again in Portugal with brace

Former Tottenham Hotspur academy product Marcus Edwards has once again found the back of the net in Portugal.

The 21-year-old was named in Vitoria’s starting eleven for their away trip to Famalicão and helped his side to thrash the hosts 7-0 in the Primeira Liga encounter.

Famalicão were already 2-0 down when they were reduced to ten men in the first half and the floodgates opened in the second half.

Edwards scored his side’s third and seventh goals in the emphatic win to take his personal tally this season to 6 in 24 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese outfit (transfermarkt).

He left north London in the summer having made just one senior appearance for the club – against Gillingham in the EFL Cup in September 2016.

Edwards’ first goal came courtesy of a heavy deflection.

His second goal of the afternoon came when he was played in behind the Famalicão defence and showed good composure to go around the goalkeeper and finish with his right foot.
