(Video) New time-lapse shows progress over past week on delayed new Spurs stadium

To say the last week has been dominated by news of the delay to the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium would be an understatement.

A new video time lapse has been released online showing what progress has been made to the 62,062 seater stadium over the past week.

Earlier this week, the club apologised to the supporters for the ongoing uncertainty over the opening of the stadium after a decision was made to move the matches against Liverpool and Cardiff City to Wembley stadium.

Spurs claimed they brought forward their announcement of the delay because of the safety concerns but their initial announcement – while also apologising to the NFL who will see fixtures moved to Wembley.

The club have offered supporters full refunds for the “inconvenience”.

At least one Champions League group fixture will be affected depending on the draw, which takes place in Monaco on 30 August.

That may mean the team open our European campaign at Wembley, or ask for their first group fixtures to be played away from home. There is no indication yet that such a request would be approved.
