Jose Mourinho has hinted that Tottenham Hotspur are relishing the opportunity to face Chelsea next weekend.
The Spurs head coach spoke to the club’s official Twitter channel after the 2-1 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
After Chelsea suffered somewhat of a surprise 1-0 defeat at home to Bournemouth, Spurs capitalised on the opportunity with their victory at Molineux.
Tottenham’s win on the road meant that going into Sunday’s game against his former employers in North London, his side can draw level on points in the Premier League with fourth-placed Chelsea.
Spurs were 12 points behind Chelsea in 14th place when Mauricio Pochettino was sacked last month and the Portuguese has helped to turn around the club’s fortunes.
The Champions League finalists have won two of their three Premier League away games under Mourinho (L1), as many as they did in Mauricio Pochettino’s final 14 away from home in the competition
Mourinho made the hint towards the Chelsea match at the end of the following interview (3:03).
