Yesterday saw the Tottenham Hotspur stadium open its doors to some of the stars of the NFL arrive at N17 to watch 150 young Londoners take part in an event to win a place at the new NFL Academy.
Chicago Bears defensive end Akiem Hicks was one of the established NFL veterans to visit the new 62,062 capacity seater stadium and was bemused as to why there was a ‘bird’ sitting on top of the south stand.
Hicks was informed by an official that the cockerel is the ‘logo’ of Tottenham leaving the 29-year-old somewhat confused an admitting he would have to do some research on it.
It’s certainly fascinating to see how sportsmen from across the bond are reacting to our new state of the art ground.
Think you got a new fan there guys… pic.twitter.com/pWR58AAJnG
