Video: Parrott scores his second for Spurs; but comes off injured soon after

Tottenham Hotspur Under 23’s hosted their Manchester City counterparts at the new stadium this evening.

17-year-old Troy Parrott was handed a start by John McDermott and the forward once again caught the eye in the 3-1 win.

Parrott continued his impressive form in pre-season with a stunning goal when he turned in the box and curled his shot into the top corner on 36 minutes.

Paris Maghoma curled into the top corner from the edge of the box just before the break to double the lead with Parrott nearly bagging his second just minutes into the second half only to see his effort come back off the post.

He did bag a brace when he netted his second from the penalty spot on 54 minutes.

However there was concern later when Parrott was caught from behind by a City player. He had to hobble off holding his leg in some discomfort with what appeared to potentially be a dead leg wich ended his involvement in the match.
