Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has sent a message to Tottenham Hotspur fans who are critical of Jose Mourinho’s style of play.
Since the Portuguese took over from Mauricio Pochettino in November, Spurs would be fourth in the Premier League table based on points gained following his appointment (Mirror).
Parlour claimed that Spurs knew exactly what they were getting when they appointed the former Chelsea and Manchester United boss and brought him to North London to win trophies.
While the 47-year-old admits that Spurs are not playing an attractive brand of football which they became accustomed to under Pochettino they must get behind Mourinho and come to the realisation that the board will not re-appoint the Argentine.
?♂️ “Jose’s Jose! Spurs knew exactly what they were in for!”
? “Spurs haven’t won a trophy for years, that’s why they brought him in!”
❌ “It may not be great football but Poch is gone! He’s not coming back!”
