Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has joked that he hopes Gareth Bale remains with Real Madrid.
The Welshman has been heavily linked with a return to Tottenham Hotspur with the Daily Mail even claiming that Bale has already sealed a switch back to his former club.
Wilder was asked during his press conference about the prospect of the 31-year-old returning to the Premier League and instead decided to talk about the benefits of remaining in the Spanish capital while also giving a mention to the golf courses on offer.
The Blades boss admitted that many Spurs fans will be wishing the deal comes off while his own supporters will be hoping that the challenges of the Premier League are not about to be made even more challenging by the arrival of the four-time Champions League winner.
?"When we landed in the PL, Eden Hazard was going to Real Madrid I said I'd give him a lift to the airport, I hope Bale stays, great golf courses there, don't make it harder for us!" ?
