Video: Pundit claims Pochettino needs to be a psychologist to fix Tottenham’s problems

Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur were humiliated at Brighton.

Many Spurs fans would have hoped to have seen Mauricio Pochettino’s side bounce back from the heavy defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday night but failed to get out of the blocks after going behind just three minutes into the match at the Amex.

Hugo Lloris’ error, his second in as many Premier League matches gifted the Seagulls the lead and Spurs never looked like posing a threat to Matthew Ryan’s goal.

Nichol admitted that he thought Tottenham’s 2-1 win against Southampton would be the turning point in their season but proved to be a false dawn.

The 57-year-old suggested that Spurs are falling apart just months after making it to the final of the Champions League and suggested that the problems lie deeper than tactics with the psychology of the players being root to the current problems.
