Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico has decided to remain at the Dutch giants for a further season, despite attracting interest from the Premier League.
The Argentine defender has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur after being scouted by the North London club on a number of occasions this season (The Sun).
Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the player (The Mirror).
Tagliafico was named in the starting line up for Ajax’s 1-0 victory against Spurs in the Champions League semi final first leg on Tuesday night and will be likely to start next Wednesday where both sides battle it out for a place in the final.
The 26-year-old has two years left to run on his existing contract and only moved to the Amsterdam-based side last season follwing a £3.6m move from Independiente.
He appeared on Ajax’s official Twitter page earlier today in a video where he confirmed that he would remain at the club for the 2019/20 campaign.
