Video: ‘Shocking’ – Arsenal legend blames Spurs star for draw at Selhurst Park

Former Arsenal midfielder Perry Groves has laid the blame of Tottenham Hotspur’s draw at Crystal Palace at feet of Hugo Lloris.

Tottenham went into the match at the top of the Premier League table and looked to have tightened their grip on the position after Harry Kane opened the scoring in the first half.

After the half time break, Roy Hodgson’s side started the brighter of the two teams and got their reward after 81 minutes.

Lloris could not hold Eberechi Eze’s free-kick which resulted in Jeffrey Schlupp finishing from inside the penalty area.

Groves was critical of the Frenchman’s efforts and claimed his hands were in the wrong position to try and handle the ball.

The 55-year-old felt that Lloris’ palms should be facing upwards in order to try and bring the ball into his chest and claimed that the goalkeeper was instead preoccupied at the prospect of a player getting a touch of the ball by making a run across his path.
