Video: Son claims he had magic in his hamstring after Man Utd thrashing

Heung-min Son joked that he had some magic in his hamstring after he was named in the Tottenham Hotspur side to face Manchester United.

The South Korean was withdrawn at half time during last Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Newcastle United with Jose Mourinho claiming after the match that he was expecting the South Korean to be out of action for a while (Sky Sports).

While Son did sit out Thursday’s 7-2 win against Maccabi Haifa, he returned sooner than many would have expected when he took to the field at Old Trafford.

Son’s return proved to be pivotal with the 28-year-old scoring two and providing an assist in the 6-1 thrashing of United.

After the match, he spoke about how he was worried about his hamstring issue and wanted to face United while describing his feeling of the victory as buzzing.

Spurs were dominant against the former Premier League champions who ended the game with ten men after Anthony Martial was shown a first half red card.
