Heung-min Son had a superb opportunity to pull Tottenham Hotspur level against Manchester City just minutes before the half time break.
The South Korean picked up the ball and his own half and showed some superb pace to drive forward away from the City defenders, a fortune ricochet saw Son have the chance to take a shot on goal but it was too tame and easily saved by Ederson.
City started brightest and went ahead on five minutes when Phil Foden nodded home.
