Video: Spurs may have hinted at next season’s kit during the Champions League final

Tottenham Hotspur may have given their strongest indication yet that one of the ‘leaked images’ of the club’s new away kit for the 2019/20 season could be correct.

Before the Champions League final against Liverpool, the Spurs squad wore new warm-up tracksuit tops when they walked out to the pitch ahead of kick-off which featured the iridescent version of the club’s badge on the left breast.

Nike first used the iridescent style of a badge on PSG’s third shirt in 2016/17 and is set to feature on a navy and purple kit for Mauricio Pochettino’s strip for next season.

While nothing has been officially confirmed by the club, it certainly adds credibility to the rumours.

Spurs are currently in a 15-year kit deal with Nike, which is worth £30million a year to the North London club (The Sun).

AIA will once again feature as the club’s shirt sponsor, the current deal with the Hong Kong-based insurance group runs until the end of the 2021-22 season (Standard).
