The Tottenham Hotspur players and the new backroom staff including Jose Mourinho have arrived at the club’s new stadium ahead of their FA Cup third round replay against Middlesbrough this evening.
Tonight will represent the first time in which Mourinho will have managed Spurs at the 62,062 capacity seater venue in a domestic cup competition.
Spurs will be looking to avoid a cup exit at the hands of lower league opposition after suffering the embarrassment of a Carabao Cup defeat at the hands of League Two Colchester United earlier in the season whilst Mauricio Pochettino was still in charge.
The FA Cup represents Tottenham’s best opportunity of winning silverware this season given the quality of opposition still left in the Champions League.
