Video: Supporters test out the acoustics at the new Spurs stadium

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been patiently waiting for nearly two seasons to witness their side return to N17 and had the first opportunity to witness a match played at their brand new stadium on Sunday.

Just over 28,000 supporters watched the club’s Under-18 side beat Southampton 3-1 in the first ever game to take place at the ground.

The supporters wasted no time in trying out the acoustics of the new stadium, despite the limitation on the capacity due to it being a test event.

Spurs fans belted out the ‘Oh when the Spurs go marching in’ song, especially from the single-tier south stand and according to those who were present, claimed that the noise held well within
the ground.

We look forward to hearing what 45,000 fans sound like at this weekend’s legends game when Inter Milan are the visitors, followed by a full 62,062 capacity for next Wednesday’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace.
