talkSPORT presenter Darren Gough has thrown his support behind Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho.
Gough believes that the Portuguese who only took up the position in late November following the dismissal of Mauricio Pochettino in late November should be given the opportunity to strengthen his squad in the summer transfer window in order to imprint his playing style.
While he admitted that the North London faithful have the right to their opinion, they should hold back on their judgement until next season to see if his brand of football resembles what was witnessed during his time at Manchester United, he will find himself out of work once again.
Gough defended Mourinho over the nervy FA Cup win against Southampton on Wednesday evening whilst reminding supporters that the 57-year-old was brought in to win trophies.
“#THFC fans have a history of wanting to play wonderful football.” ?
“The reason they got him in was to win trophies.” ?

Mourinho deserves more than another transfer window to showcase his impact on the squad. Spurs are going through an end of a cycle with the current squad which we are currently witnessing in the likes of Eriksen, Rose and Wanyama.
