talkSPORT presenter Darren Gough has claimed that Manchester City’s John Stones is a better defender than anyone currently at Tottenham Hotspur.
The former cricketer has suggested that at a potential price of £20million, Stones would represent excellent value for money after he was linked with a move to West Ham United (The Sun) and there should be substantial interest from clubs.
Gough claims that Stones was overpriced when he went to Manchester City for £47.5million from Everton in 2016 (ESPN).
Stones’ prospects of first-team football at the Etihad next season may become more challenging with City reported to have had a £40million bid accepted by Bournemouth for Nathan Ake.
The Telegraph claimed early last month that the England international could emerge as a transfer target for Jose Mourinho’s side.
"I think there should be loads of clubs looking at him (Stones) for £20m." ?
"He's better than what #THFC have got. He's better than what #AFC have got."
Arsenal and Tottenham fans, would you be happy with John Stones? ?
