Video: talkSPORT pundit tips Spurs star to bounce back after squad snub

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has found himself left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad once again.

The 23-year-old missed the start of the season after suffering his fourth left hamstring issue in the space of two years (Guardian).

After returning to action, Dele has found himself on the receiving end of some heavy criticism from the likes of Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Graeme Souness (Sky Sports).

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has tipped the former MK Dons player to rediscover his form and force his way back into the Three Lions squad.

Instead, Parlour believes that Dele needs to focus on improving for Spurs and the rest will fall into place.

He told talkSPORT: “He’s got keep working hard and worrying about his Spurs career. That will get him back into the England squad. Still loads of time. He’s lacking a bit of belief and confidence. That will come back because he’s a quality player.

“His stats are unbelievable, up there with Frank Lampard and Paul Scholes and Steven Gerrard. Once he starts playing well, Gareth’s a fair man, he’ll know when it’s right to put him back into that England squad.”
