Video: Ten of the best debuts from Tottenham Hotspur players

Tottenham Hotspur have shared ten of the best debuts in a lilywhite shirt.

Following Tanguy Ndombele’s display in the opening match of the Premier League season against Aston Villa on Saturday in which the Frenchman scored the equalising goal, the club have chosen nine other players who caught the eye on their first outing.

Among those chosen are Jurgen Klinsmann, who had a memorable match away to Sheffield Wednesday where he scored two goals and celebrated with his ‘dive’ celebration.

Also making the list are Danny Rose for a certain goal against Arsenal, and the man who Ndombele has effectively replaced in North London; Moussa Dembele.

Opinion

While Ndombele showed glimpses of his raw ability and aside from his goal, he certainly still needs time to adjust to playing in the Premier League. His first half display against Villa was evidence enough that we need to be patient with him.
