Tim Sherwood has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur should have focused on trying to win Carabao Cup.
Mauricio Pochettino made ten changes to his starting line up for the trip to Colchester United and the League Two side punished them dearly with a penalty shoot out victory.
Sherwood believes that Spurs have missed the opportunity to get to the next stage when facing the lowest ranked side left in the competition.
Despite their tenth place position in League Two, Colchester made Spurs look average in a disgraceful performance from the North London outfit which lacked effort and passion.

This result has magnified the issues that appear to be going on behind the scenes at Spurs. This was truly embarrasing and credit must go to Colchester for wanting it more than the millionaire primadonnas who should be ashamed to wear our badge.
We should be looking to win silverware, Pochettino got it badly wrong with his changes.
