Video: Time-lapse footage shows major transformation at the new Spurs stadium

The groundskeeping staff at Tottenham Hotspur have made the most of the opportunity of the off season and the fact that the players and staff currently in Singapore

With no fixture scheduled to place at the new stadium until Sunday 4th August with the visit of Inter Milan in the International Champions Cup, they have taken advantage of the option to install a new playing surface at the 62,062 capacity seater stadium.

Tottenham’s Head of Playing Surfaces & Estates, Darren Baldwin shared timelapse footage on social media of the project being undertaken from start to finish.

The retractable pitch is made up of three huge sliding pitch trays – these trays are made up of 33 smaller trays.

It’s fair to say that the stadium and playing surface is looking hugely impressive ahead of the new campaign.
