The word legend is bandied about too often these days, but one player who certainly fits into that category is Rafael van der Vaart.
The Dutchman built a cult-like status during his time at Tottenham where he made a mockery of Arsenal and more importantly Jack Wilshere on more than one occasion.
Van der Vaart tuned in to watch Tottenham’s Carabao Cup semi final first leg against Chelsea last night and had no doubts when Harry Kane stepped up to power home his penalty to give Mauricio Pochettino’s side a 1-0 advantage going into the second leg at Stamford Bridge on January 24th.
