Heung-min Son appeared to have broken the deadlock at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium just moments before the half time whistle.
In what has been a first half of very few chances with West Ham defending resolutely with numbers behind the ball.
Son picked up the ball on the edge of the Hammers penalty area and fired low into the bottom corner of what appeared to be the opening goal.
However, the South Korean’s joy was short lived when a VAR review adjudged Son to be fractionally offside before receiving the ball.
