Video: Vertonghen names the player who he struggled for 90 minutes against this season

Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has named Adama Traoré as the most difficult opponent he has faced for 90 minutes.

The 33-year-old held an Instagram live Q&A with Kentish Town Football Academy where he was posed the question.

Vertonghen came up against the Wolves winger earlier in the season when the Belgian was asked by Jose Mourinho to play out of position at left-back and left with the thankless task of trying to keep the speedster under control.

While he did also mention Luis Suarez and Sergio Aguero as difficult opponents when he plays as a central defender, it was Traoré who Vertonghen singled out.

Ironically, despite experiencing a difficult afternoon at Molineux in December, it was Vertonghen who stole the headlines with a 90th minute winner to ensure all three Premier League points headed south back to London.
