Watch: Jose Mourinho criticises Mauricio Pochettino’s tactics

Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has questioned Mauricio Pochettino’s tactics during the defeat to Ajax.

Donny van de Beek’s 15th-minute goal proved to be enough for the Dutch side to take a 1-0 advantage going into the second leg of the Champions League semi final in Amsterdam which takes place next Wednesday evening.

Ajax dominated the opening half of the match and could have easily been 3-0 up going into the break which would have been a catastrophic result for the North London outfit going into the second leg.

The introduction of Moussa Sissoko in the 39th minute in place of the injured Jan Vertonghen certainly helped Spurs with Pochettino switching from a 3-4-3 to 4-2-3-1 system.

Mourinho believes that Pochettino set his team up wrong by choosing to start three central defenders while Ajax did not play with an out an out front man instead employing Dusan Tadic as a false number nine.
